I remember when the alternative funding plan surrounding the sale of the Cas ground was first announced, the BBC sport site was resplendant with an article trumpetting the news that Cas were set to get a £50m investment by selling Wheldon Road to a Food retailer.
Reading the headline only you would forgiven for thinking that we were about to be handed £50m in exchange for our ground. It was only on reading further down the article did it become clear that there were plenty of obstacles to overcome before any money changed hands and that under no circumstances would we actually get anywhere near £50m if the ground was sold!
The same thing is the case with our respective grounds now. In the same way that the sale of Wheldon Rd is NOT dead in the water, the building of Wakey's new ground is not yet inevitable.
