I fully expect to see a marked improvement on last season's lacklustre showing. I think that the recruitment has been canny and will alter the dimensions of how we play, without reaching for the stars only to watch it come crashing down.

I genuinely think the playoffs are attainable and the lack of expectation will play into our hands. Wigan apart, Millward has a solid and competitive CV and we need to back him especially during the opening rounds which would be tough for more talented squads than ours. Talking about the first fixtures, in some respects that could also be less harmful than some think. We are capable of springing a surprise as we have shown time and again. It will be crucial that we ensure we pick up the points at home to the weaker sides, a problem area for us last year.

Still a couple of forwards short IMO but, unlike last year I'm starting to look forward to the season again. 2012 season I was very disillusioned about going to games and not enjoying watching matches at all.

2013 - It's time to bring the smile back to the supporters at Cas Tigers.

I think you've got a good strong first thirteen, if you have a good season injuries wise you could well be knocking on the door for a playoff place.

Echoes my sentiments exactly.

For the first time in as long as I can remember I missed a couple of home games towards the end of last season for no reason other than I just didn't want to shell out £20 to watch us put in another halfhearted performance.

I lost interest in SL altogether and concentrated on watching the NRL on Premier Sports which showed up what an inferior competition the Superleague is.

However, thanks in no small part to the enthusiasm displayed by Nick Fozzard I'm starting to refind my enthusiasm for Cas Tigers and have signed up to a membership and seasonticket having not had one for the last couple of years.

I agree with a few posters that on paper our first 20 looks fairly solid and if the players put the commitment in and we have a bit of overdue luck with injuries we could be vying for a top 8 spot.

There's always the possibility that two players may come available down the track that we can use to strengthen the squad too.

Key is getting memberships signed up, get it in people's faces, get banging on doors around Cas, get the players calling up fans. Spread the word and get Cas positive again.

I see cas very much in the same as wakefield the last season if they can avoid injuries then they will be there or there abouts for the top 8 at the end of the season. i know you've lost players thru retirements but the crop of youngsters you have coming thru will be there when u need them. Blood the youngsters like cas do and see where you go

There might be a few Salford players available soon. They haven't started selling ST's yet and if the funding from the council and peel holdings doesn't come through they might not see the start of the 2013 season. Some of there fans are even calling for the club to resign from SL with immediate effect !

I expect Cas to be fighting for the 8. When you review last season, there were several reasons why the side underperformed such as Injuries, Chase in & out, Deadwood, Millward's loss etc

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't significantly improve especially with the professionalism of the signings made.
