Good idea by the Giants to give him a year, take him full time, and see how he bulks up

Where does it say we didn't put up a fight? We wanted him for next season but these changes to the system of the Reserves means it is inevitable some players will be leaving.

Bit disappointing that he's gone especially since Basil was willing to give him a chance it would seem. His departure means a chance for another outside back, though.

Can't remember telling you anything Fumper other than Sam Orange leaving for York.

OK then - I'm not too bothered about Sam leaving but I am concerned about the number of juniors who are leaving the club - particularly such lads like Eden and Blackmore who see going to Hudds as a better pathway into SL than staying with us.

Regarding the situation with the academy changing the age ruling - don't forget we have signed 6 youngsters to bridge this gap.

Six school-leavers.

The age groups are now U16 and U19. There's no U16's U18's and U20's any more. You're effectively going to lose an entire squad across those age ranges (or at least half). Some people ARE going to have to go and it's your older ones you'll find probably do bite the bullet.
