Why on earth did Millward choose to play Ferres and Milner at half back, key positions in any team. He was on a hiding to nothing it was never going to work.
He has Brierly and Johnson bothhalf backs on loan to Championship clubs, he should have recalled them both, if he gives them a try and it doesnt work he gets a pat on the back for giving the youngsters a try in the positions that they play.
As for lack of halves today, who's fault is that. A poor discipline record both McGoldrick and Chase being out through their own stupidity .
Terry Matterson twice the coach that Millward is.
His interview on Radio Leeds this afternoon was embarrassing , it lasted 1 minute. Why doesnt he get real, listen to the championship coaches, Daryl Powell, Karl Harrison, Jason Demetriou, Barry Eaton, they take it on the chin after a heavy defeat, give good honest interviews, they dont throw the dummy out. Matterson always gave a candid interview.

Agree with everything you said there. Our 1st choice halves both out. Our back up in Mcgoldrick out. Our next 2 halves out on loan playing well in the championship and he picks a hooker and a second row at 6 and 7. Baffling

I'm not sure who took his place, or when, but certainly in the second half Ferres was out in the left centre position.

the fact that brierley played for leigh today was a disgrace,why name him in 19 if your not gonna bother playing him,the guy has lost the plot and now time for him to go

I would rather see us play with Brierley and Johnson and risk the chance of getting stuffed, than play people out of position and still get stuffed. How are they going to get superleague experience if he won't play them.

Getting fed up of all these results now. I think it will be an achievement with our squad if we finish above London, Widnes, Wakey and Salford.

Said that a month ago, we would probably only win a couple of games . Widnes and London at home, cant see us winning another one. Poor coaching for me- Millward and Donlan not the best appointments were they. I think Millward was 3rd choice with what I heard. But then if we cant offer the brass to the right person thats what we end up with.

I thought it was a backward step appointing IW, he proved it today.

The more pertinent question to me is that in attack, we were under strength so let's say scoring 12 was acceptable for arguments sake.

The reciprocal however was that in defence, we should have been at least solid, there was nobody new in the line, so none of the disruption is responsible for conceding 70. Arguably Ferres is a better defender than Danny or Rangi, so with him in the 13 as well, it should have been better.

There are 17 people responsible for serving that up yesterday; whatever you say about selections, and for the record I would not have picked Brierly either, going down 24-0 in 20 minutes is the run on 13 simply checking out. You can say that's the coach's job, but not at the elite level, they should make a statement about their performance yesterday becuase RW and IW rightly on wrongly get thier share of abuse, but 17 players abused their positions yesterday.

I agree entirely with your comments, i fail to see how the coach can be blamed for players deciding they are not going to tackle the opposition. Millward certainly doesn't coach a team to let other teams destroy them in the first 15 minutes of a game which is what happened yesterday. The players need to take a long hard look at themselves and do the job they are getting paid for. If you put the same effort into your job of work would you expect your boss to get the rollocking, i don't think so. These players have a duty to us fans who have supported them through 2 relegations but displays like yesterday's are totally unacceptable.

I actually think the on duty 17 from yesterday should be speaking to the boss this morning about them 'refunding' the people who went yesterday.

Granted, you can only refund the people who bought through the Tigers Den's becuase you can't validate walk ups - but there should be a 'free' ticket to our last game of the season, next game or better still the first game of next season for all those people funded by those players.

I don't mind losing or not being good enough, yesterdays performance was shameful, we may as well have rung Hull KR and given them a bye becuase we couldnt raise a team. Thats players not caring.
