Quote mdean="mdean"Fully, I appreciate how hard Tom works - but this is a key business issue here- don't start too many things and dissapoint. Do fewer things very well, as opposed to lots of things sporadically. I have long lamented post match video's and lack of cohesive brand management with You Tube, FaceBook and the Cas web site.
There should be more regular player features, trianing features, more coverage of the youngsters, but if you are going to do it, it has to be consistent. I talk a lot about brand values when I post about our business and these are the core principles, get a message, manage a message, promote it and EVERYONE supports it.
Not having a pop at Tom, but I can't tell HP that becuase I haven't got enough engineers I won't be delivering any business this month even though I have before becuase I am working too hard and spread too thin? Thats my businesses issue/my issue and what I get paid to manage.
I wonder a little if a really strong and leading General Manager would help at Cas - Someone in the business and management who can create a brand managed performance culture and framework from turnstyle operators to stewards to shop and bar staff into the various teams - I genuinely think a highly qualified service and general manager could influence the playing and board from the tools upwards - it happens in other businesses.'"
I absolutely agree!! I don't care if it is a multinational group, a one man band or a rugby club....if you have ambitions to grow and compete with the best there are certain structures that need to be put in place. You then need to right management team to ensure the structures are followed, reviewed and progressed. There are people at Cas who's heart is in the right place, perhaps like Tom, but we could also do with a management team that are as keen as mustard!!..... and I don't feel that we have that at present.
