last night and next week. : Sat Mar 03, 2012 5:35 pm
Copied from a post i made on the other forum.Said before the game as long as we showed passion and gave leeds a game i would walk away happy and we did. We had some poor calls against us last night and the score line flattered leeds alot. If we can play like that every week we stand a good chance of making the playoffs.
As for the players last night
owen made a couple of bad calls tonight but he is still settling into his new role and is improving (against wigan he was my mom)
youngquest-much better than last week and hopefully by next week he will be fully match fit, did well to get back to put the tackle on watkins, shame momentum carried him over the line. He needs toi be given the ball in space more.
Goldy is very poor at centre, drop him and play thompson instead, he is better in attack and defence and isn't a penalty machine.
Griffen is good in attack but poor in defence (though probably is made to look worse playing outside mcgoldrick) lets try him in the centres he looked effective there in pre season and its his natural position. If it doesnt work out arundel will be back soon.
Dixon will NEVER BE A CENTRE how many times have we tried him there and its never worked, put him on the wing where he is best, whats more he very good under the high ball, so why do we always kick to the other side. Oh and try to vary your kick offs kirk, we will never catch teams out by always kicking to the same place.
chase is doing plenty right but is trying to be to flashy at times, but he is an off the cuff player so how much that will ever change who knows.
orr is putting in the most effort in every game for me, he is lacking pace though, but there is nothing we can do about that, unlucky bounce for what deserved to be a 40/20.
millington looks awesome and he wont be fully match fit yet, when him, huby and emmitt play in the props together we will be a real force up front, more of the same please grant.
milner- still working his rocks off in defence and doing a decent job going forward, no complaints.
emmitt-once again no complaints.
ferres-best game in ages, keep it up brett
holmes-getting better each game
jones-as always putting in lots in defence, doesnt offer much going forward though.
mitchell-tackling machine but greedy going forward, you are alowed to pass out wide man!
massey-one of the real positives this season, i personally never thought he would make it but he is proving me and plenty of others wrong.
clark- still going well, catching plenty of players off side, shame the ref cant see it.
Snitch, to be honest i hardly noticed him last night so havent got much to say.
Next week i would bring walker and thompson in, goldy needs a spell on the sidelines and i would drop jones or snitch.
