someone on our board has linked him with us.

I am not sure why but we need props rather than second rows.

How good is he and could he step up to prop ( is there fat lad inside him trying to get out )

Brett Ferres can play anywhere in the back three or makeshift centre - definitely not prop. Quality bloke and quality player.
As for being linked, I think this is the time of year for every player being linked somewhere..... to my knowledge it is not even a credible rumour, let alone a speculative punt.

Would certainly take Larne Patrick off your hands though, young guy just quietly establishing himself in this division - send him back closer to his family in Vegas! It's only fair.

Are you sure your not being linked with Rangi Chase, because everyone else is.

In that case i do not think there is too much in it as we have a dearth of backrow forwards several who can play at centre.

It is a prop we need so i think Ferres is safe in your hands.
