| Did anyone else notice a new type of dangerous tackle being used by the warrington team?
one guy goes in round the middle, the other low and lifts a leg, they then try and smash the player in to the ground on the ball carrying arm. If you have a ball in your arm and can't put your hand on the floor to protect you and as your other arm is being held back then your only options are to:
1. drop the ball and put your hand down or
2. get a broken arm and then drop the ball anyway.
I think this is another one which needs to be looked at by the RFL before we start to get broken arms in every game. Nobody wants that.
It doesn't help when your teammates are standing around doing nothing whilst this is happening but all the same it isn't good.

| Yep. Noticed it. However as ruthless as it sounds, they should play to the Ref....and if it's effective and the Ref isn't pulling them on it...play on!
There were a few tackles, notably one on Danny Orr where he was wrapped up and dumped to the ground without anything free to break his fall. Result is either face first....or body onto the ball carrying arm and out comes the ball due to the sheer weight and force coming down onto it.

Exactly and if they aren't illegal then there is little the ref can do about it. Worse than a chicken wing IMO.

What does "uou" mean?
Not one of our fans has justified McGoldrick's behaviour. Most of us can't stand his antics on the field.

No. The Massey one was actually a good hit IMO. It was on Dixon when he knocked on.

You sad excuse for a human being!
Whilst this tackling technique may currently be legal, doesn't make it morally right - the grapple and chickenwing tackles were considered legal not that long ago.
Still, until a Wire player picks up a nasty injury as a result of another sides nefarious tackling technique you'll be more than happy to see it carry on.
ps. Wish McGoldrick had been sent off for the stamp - he's nowt but a liability to Cas.

| wait is this right that i am reading that you are complaining at having more than 1 man in a tackle it is a good technique one round legs who can run without then then the pivot at the top to get them to ground it is a basic technique taught from an early age! and getting the player on the back to stop a quick play of the ball!
