Mcgoldrick, hudson for me. He said the 2 young guys would be back in obviously meaning clarke and thompson. I'd like to see snitch get a go aswell. Only players I thought tried last night were orr, milner and dixon.
Spot on! With the addition that Ferris played well.
Whilst ever we do not have the firepower in the forwards to dominate the play and gain a good platform for the backs to work from, we need to change our focus to disrupt the opposition. There is nothing quite like getting the opposition on the back foot by either quick plays of the ball or quick attacking runns from dummy half. Neither of which we seem to be doing.n
Wakey, Leeds and Warrington were all able to make quick simple yards by attacking Cas from dummy half. It allowed them to rapidly advance down the field whilst we tried to scramble and patch up the gaping holes in our defence. Exagerated even more by our players racing into quick ineffective cover tackles, which were over enthusiastic, badly timed, making them 'slide by' and barely contact the attacking player.
Huddson made 1 run from dummy half yesterday, other than that he is now way too slow and un-fit to give us an attacking option that this position in the game now demands.
Bring in Clarke, and tell him specifically to run at the opposition from dummy half. Get them on the back foot, and then have quick second phase play.
McGoldrick was too interested in getting involved in cheap shots and niggles with the Warrington players and from a very early stage in the game and completely lost focus on the game. If that's what his experience brings to the team, we don't need it.
