My theory that Brett Ferres will be Terry's first choice strengthens.

A shame for James, whom we never saw the best of. Kudos to him for retiring and freeing up the cap space rather than just taking his wage all year.

Losing one first-choice centre is a problem, losing the other after the start of pre-season is a nightmare.

IIRC that's 9 seniors out from what was already one of the smallest SL squads and only 5 in.

With Joe going can we afford to move Ferres from the backrow - hope I'm wrong but I suspect a quick fix of Goldy joining Arundel in the centres and Orr playing in the halves

I've thought all along that we'll see Ferres in the centre with a back row of Widders, Snitch & Jones.

I respect the decision being made ahead of the season, at least giving Cas a little time to size up a replacement or a re-align of the current squad. Good work all involved.

Very under rated player Evans, his reading of the game is/was exceptional. Great defensively and popped up at the right time on many occasion to sneak a try
