| Quote Have to say I'm curious as to where they'll be playing next year. Can't see Webster and Gilmour being left out with the likely wages they'll be inline for, and Shenton's all but guaranteed one of the centre spots. One of them must be earmarked for the second row instead, which which one do you guys reckon it will be? Gilmour?
Tansey will be interesting too, can fit in to a few positions, but you seem reasonably strong in his those he suits best (fullback, centre, possibly hooker). I can only really think of halfback or a bench player. If Chase is going could he be your 6?

....what a load of garbage that looks.
Gilmour looked scared to run the ball in yesterday, Tansey is below average and the pack is light weight. Not to mention Webster will probably move into the physios room, not the centres.

| I do know his wages are a stumbling block. No club can match what hes on at cas....so we'll see.
Rangi chase does want out of the club, the reason being as one poster as already said, the players at the club arnt good enough.
Also the club have said chase wont play to the stucture hes asked to.
So imo both should part company.
As for him being the best half back in SL, take a look at young elllis in the game last sunday.
Thats what you call a TEAM player. The whole team played far better in that one game than any game all season.
Rangi who.

I thought Owen was secure as your fullback? I've always thought he looks a decent player TBH, would Tansey really be a better option?
On saying that, to be fair to Tansey I'd say that when at Hull he was very good when on his game. The problem was making that the case more than half the time, as he also has stupid errors in his game, concentration issues, and can be shaky under the high ball. Capable of magic and madness.

Your description of Tansey pretty much sums up Owen this season
Ryan Brierley should be the full back next season, he's out with Leigh at the minute but I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up at Hull too, plays fullback, stand off and scrum half.
2 rumours that cover the 2 new signings in the backs though were Lote Tuqiri (so Webster doesn't get lonely in the physios room I presume, also HIGHLY unlikely surely) and Thomas Bosc (which went quiet rather quickly, unfortunately)
Looking at that team though you could add Morris, Cronk & Gallen and it would still struggle to finish in the top 10 nevermind make the playoffs.

That pretty much matches my opinion of the lad when he was at Leeds. Bags of talent, but needs to focus it properly. If he's well coached, he will be a good signing for Cas.

| Quote Gronk!="Gronk!"Wasn't aimed specifically at you, it's Hull fans in general every year since he's signed for Cas have been giving it the 100% nailed on to happen blah blah blah so there's a reason nobody believed it.
Anything under 300k and Ferres has already lost my confidence, it's an utter joke selling the best player at the club just to appease the egotistical head coach.
As for claiming Cas "need" the money, give over Cas are doing fine, if anything the wages will go into 2-3 players (who no doubt will be Championship level, old or injury prone).
Castleford Tigers - tell the fans there needs to be an increase in season ticket sales....then sell off the best players, they certainly know how to get fans excited
Then when ST sales are down next year they will once again try and blame the fans for having a poor squad, it's the Cas way, treat the fans like utter
and live with the mediocrity.'"
Fair enough...
The fee is less than £300k, ALOT less than 300k. You'll be looking at around half that but as I have previously mentioned, expect a couple of preseason friendlies with you guys.
This deal saves you alot of money to throw at some decent championship/out of favour players and also give much needed wages rises to your more committed up and coming stars!!

Maybe with the 2 of them competing for the fullback spot it could result in one of them rising to the challenge then.
Brierley was mentioned on the Hull forum a few weeks back (but then again, few haven't been), is there anything in it and is he any good?

I don't know but seems you're signing all Cas' players there might be
He's a very good player, his side step & pace being key assets - along with his rugby brain to say he's young he has a very well developed understanding of what's going on around him.

Neither. Shenton and Webster are starting centres. Gilmour will play in back-row along with Ollie Holmes, Jordan Thompson and Weller Hauraki (if rumours are to be believed). Can't see Gilmour being on shedloads. Chance to prolong his career with a bit more security than Hudds were offering and Hudds free up some cap space early for Anderson.

| Quote Gronk!="Gronk!"Erm no, it's most of the squad wanting to leave BECAUSE of Millward.

It's funny that you continually state this but have provided NO evidence to support this nor pointed out which of the players tells you this.
Equally, it's rather funny that the players hate Millward so much so that they went out and smashed a Huddersfield side. You'd think they wouldn't have put in the effort and were bouncing around so much after the game.
Me thinks you're just stirring things.

I heard we've signed him and Wildie from Wakey.
