Before your rant, can you kindly tell me where I either a) said Wakefield or b) implied Wakefield.
FYI, I wasn't even referring to Wakefield........
PS. Because journalists to an extent don't go out their way to find facts they take the standard press release and believe it to make something controversial.
Then other people, in turn, then believe said comments as fact and try to make more of a situation without no basis of reality. And you really need to get over with this idea of us getting onboard with Newmarket; it ain't going to happen and SF even openly admitted at the Civic Centre that he had not even contemplated the idea.
Time for you to forget about that idea once and for all.
You implied Wakefield, deny it all you want, but with your posting history it's pretty clear who you meant.
Like it or not but in many eyes we are the weakest two. With considering the improvements we've experienced I feel is more than slightly unfair to us!
I know the notion of having your future limited by the opinion of the RL public (which could be slightly wide of the mark) is harsh, we experienced it. All I'm saying is that with every step NM takes you will appear to be taking one to the opposite direction. Wait & see. This can create a "defensive mentality" from your hardcore fans, you already see to an extent IMO.
As far as CT at NM goes, if that's the way you want to play it, fine by us. But I wonder how you'll feel in 10 years if it brings the planned benefits. As I said if you're happy, we're happy!
To be honest I'd always thought the climb down you (fully) would have to make to accept NM would be insurmountable. If CT did go I dare say you'd be off to watch wendyball instead.
