If your previous ST price was £185 and they're now £100 that's a 46% reduction, which is slightly less than 50% but don't make out like it's a fantastic deal. Wakefield, like Huddersfield and Bradford, will see attendances return to there previos (poor) levels once ST prices go back to normal. FWIW I think £175 at Cas and £20 on the gate is way too much. I think £150 and £15 is a much fair price and would entice more supporters on a more regular basis.
the reduction in price was a part thank you for standing by the club in its time of need and also to try and bring back fans that have turned their back due to lack of performance. only time will tell if attendances drop due to price increases
p1ss poor performances is most reasons why gates drop, ever thought why Cas's gates are dipping
God you guys are really pumping this one, mass advertising and resting all the big guns for your cup final! Fozzy spammed out everyone’s twitter feed with his constant promotional tweets! To be fair it’s probably one last chance for a decent payday this year for you. I expect a good 4K from Wakey might even tough 10K overhaul!
I would be very dissapointed if we weren't doing lots to promote a derby game, that's why you have a marketing department, and the reason why wakefield did the same earlier this year. Don't think anyone has been rested, we have injuries. Hopefully we will see 4k from wakey but i have never sen that many wakey fans at cas so i wont get my hopes up.
The City of Wakefield holds both city and metropolitan borough status.
If you want to discuss the geography of wakefield and the 5 towns can i suggest you reopen one of the many threads on the vt where you have spent many an hour telling people where they should consider themselves from in order to satisfy your delusion that if cas ceased to exist we would all go support wakefield due to some bureaucrat in 70's changing a line on a map.
I think that would save everyone lots of time and effort and would mean this thread can stay on topic, thanks.
I think that we (Wakefield) created a hostile atmosphere for the fixture at Wakefield and it is sad that this has been kept going. The derby game hypes itself and it should be just that. This smacks of school yard, I didn't agree with how it was done originally and think it should be left to rest. I have a number of friends who follow Cas but I fear that this is starting go beyond rugby rivalry.
Hopefully with enough sensible fans like yourself from both sides of the common we wont have any trouble.
If anyone would like to discuss geaography or season ticket pricing structures can they start a new thread or reopen an existing one, can we keep this one for the game and the promotional campaign please.
What a simpleton way of looking at it. That's like saying Skirlaugh, Myton, Hessle, etc are not in Hull!!
Myton is an area of Hull, Hessle is a town in it's own right, although to be fair it does join on to the city boundry, Skirlaugh is a village about 5 miles from the nearest City boundry of Hull, and so is nothing at all to do with Hull. You may want to check your facts before calling people simpletons in future.
I can't see 4k Wakey fans attending - it would take more than Nick Fozzard camping out on Twitter to achieve that.
I can understand the push though - not many home games left and with your attendances dropping off this season, they'll be wanting to get some money in the bank.

Derby games are always pushed by marketing departments as they are the biggest money spinners, Hence your own clubs 'push' earlier this year. It would be more of note if they weren't putting this sort of effort in.
Going back to the game, if ellis and orr both play i reckon we will win by 4-8 if neither do i reckon we will lose by 8-10.

Your derbies, like ours do occasionally have the odd incident of bother, the tools that are responsible dont do it because they've read some poster promoting the game in a certain way, its because they are tools. As you said on another post, you would be dissapointed in your marketing department if they didn't hype up the derby.
