Spot on.

A big shot with the shoulder...However Tomkins didn't have the ball.

Also, if a prop performaned a ''perfectly ok tackle'' on a halfback the size of Tomkins, how could Tomkins possibly be accused of diving?

Just managed to watch the replay on sky plus, it was late but only by a second or so, and there was nothing else wrong with it (not high, dangerous etc). Still not sure why tomkins has to make such a big deal of it there must have been 50 harder tackles in that game that players just sprung straight up from.

The tackle was late. A little to late to be an accident. It was a prop trying to rough up a half back, no intent to do any damage just trying to put him off his game.

As for Tomkins. I can see him getting sin binned for dissent a few more times, which should hopefully settle down the gobby streak in him.

But those 50 tackles were made on players who were expecting impact.

Tomkins had released the ball and relaxed as he wasn't expecting any type of collision. It would be expected that ANY player would be injured by a prop forward's shoulder when physically unprepared, especially a half back as slight as Tomkins.

I'm not sure what some Castleford supporters are struggling to grasp?

A bit late Tompkins had time to boil an egg before he was poleaxed. For someone what prides himself on sensible posts' I'm afraid this is not one of your better ones, I am being diplomatic put your post on the Wigin board and see the response.

Not all of them were, there are always late challenges throughout the game, and if anyone on the pitch should be prepared for them its a halfback (as they suffer them more often than not) if everytime a late challenge on a halfback resulted in an injury there would be 4 or 5 injuries in a game for them. Dont know why you keep going on about tompins size if he's playing he should be able to cope with being tackled. burrow and chase are tiny and i've seen both of them hit off the ball (in some case with far worse challenges) and they just bounce back up everytime, though that does of course mean they are less likely to be awarded a penalty.

Only Seargent produced a late challenge, that's it.

Tomkins has shown that he can cope being tackled this season, but Tomkins was tackled illegally last and it's natural for him to be injured.

Simple as that, I don't get why a minority of you can't accept it.

It was a second, in the time it takes from him passing the ball to sargent hitting him you cant count past one. Plenty of far later challenges go unpunished. I not arguing it wasnt late but its a second no more. As for puttting it on the wigan board well last week i had insults and abuse thrown at me on there site for having the audacity to say that it was wrong to label every single wire fan as scum. Apparentley all wire fans are scum and if you support cas you arent allowed to have an opinion there board. My opinion is here for all to see, having dozens of one eyed wigan fans throwing insults at me and my town for hours on end achieves nothing and will just make for an even more intense disliking between the two clubs.

It was an illegal challenge, i dont think anyone is arguing that (at least not after they have watched the replay), it was definatley late (but not dangerous or high) awarding a penalty was the correct call.
