Ah, the high horse eh? No. You assume a complaint is evidence enough of guilt??? It isn't. If it happens and the club is found guilty, I hope the perpetrators are dealt with accordingly. However, are you suggesting we should act without evidence. The club is pro-active in seeking out the people we don't want at our club and have issued a number of bans this last season/closed season. Have Cas???
Similarly, the club are committed to inverstigating complaints thoroughly. In my experience the club have been too tight on some and have indeed banned people with the flimsiest of grounds - but hey ho, that's the world we live in.
Of course the club issued a formal statement. It would be crass not to if they have rec'd a formal complaint. We have to be shown to be pro-active in investigating/dealing with this matter.
I was at the game. I didn't hear owt. If I had I would have dealt with it. I work with friends/colleagues who are of ethnic minorities, gay/lesbian and from different religious backgrounds. I abhor racism of any kind and like your comment I find it absolutely unnecessary - it's criminal. However, if it didn't happen, it didn't happen.
Your whole post smack of resentment. i.e. "great, Fev have a complaint re racism - that's ammunition to have a go at Fev" regardless of guilt being proven!!
As I said owd cock, If guilt is indeed proven, I won't moan if the guilty one's are never seen at Post Office Road again. But to assume guilt as you are doing, says far more about yourself, than it does of me!!
Incidently 007, not surprisingly I was called a Fat Ginger B'stard by several cas fans on your last visit to Post Office Road. Not that it bothers me and I certainly didn't make any formal complaints to Castleford RLFC.
Just in your opinion, what's the difference between calling someone a "fat ginger b'stard" and a black b'stard??
Genuine question and not aimed at any points scoring excercise.
How do the two compare in your mind???
PS I am in fact - Big, Fat and I have ginger hair!!!

In my eyes both wrong, one is said to hurt on a personal level(as in a school bully, which is what those "people" who called you are) the other is used as a discriminatory statement to a persons colour /creed/origin,one is not a criminal offence, the other one is,and no moral high ground with me,if it's wrong,it's wrong, but you can't say that there has been no incident and then say that the club have to be seen to be proactive regarding the incident, btw,I'm 6'1 large and not ginger. FWIW If I wanted to take the moral high ground I could have quite easily mentioned an incident which involved, allegedly,Featherstone "supporters"2 years ago,I didn't so for you to bring up past indiscretions in its own way is points scoring,Castleford were rightly punished for what happened,it's over, this is the now,and if any CTRLFC "supporters" are found to have been involved in any of the incidents last week, then if it warrants a life ban, then ban them,no grey area.

Racism is the lowest as is any discrimination,so you think it's ok to shout "you ***/***** Bstd,as it's not as bad as throwing urine on to the pitch,"you heard",none of it's ok,because it happens, does'nt make it right, not in my eyes anyway,in yours it seems it does.
Nothing like putting words into someones mouth is there, i never said it was ok to shout that did i, you said we had sank new depths i was just pointing out throwing urine on someone is worse in my opinion
but you can't say that there has been no incident and then say that the club have to be seen to be proactive regarding the incident,
Why?? The cllub have received a formal complaint. . A pro-active response is not only desireable, it's essential for the good of everything that's right.
It's assumes no guilt. If the evidence is there and the allegation is proven - we must act with a degree of immediacy. The statement does not imply the allegation is a true record of what happened. As my daft mate gingdong implied, comments can be misheard. A malicious complaint can be made (and before you say it can't - it has happened at Cas at least once since the GT incident), it can be simply an untruth.
If anyone at Post Office Road is found to be guilty of racial abuse I hope they are dealt with accordingly.
I abhor all elements of marginisation, racial or otherwise. But I also believe in the fundamental principle of 'innocent until proven guilty'.
Comments assuming guilt when it is not proven helps no-one.

and there's the rub - 80 mins of "you're just a fat ginger b'stard" to James Graham = nothing. Not a jot. Sod all.
an ALLEGATION of racial abuse to a black player = Uproar.
But what are the club doing? Saying that anyone identified will be banned isn't really an action,it's a statement, are they looking through cctv to identify the culprits? Is there a number that can be called to report such instances, what are they actively doing to ensure this sort of thing never happens again? You were all very quick to jump on the Gareth Thomas incident and now it seems a minority your "supporters " have plumbed new depths.
Thas coming out with that crap to the wrong people m8, were all middle age men not young fools, all we want is to have a good drink a laugh and watch a good game, were not bothered about point scoring/cock measuring excersises. We know just what happened about the Thomas episode, 1 maybe 2 young bellends shouted something that hardly anyone in the ground heard. But Thomas and the RFL leaped on it to make them look good in the eyes of the PC brigade. Were not that different to you believe it or not

"it was nothing seems nowadays you cant shout fat bstrd at a black player for fear of been branded a racist" Your words, not mine

Please dont give me the crap about familys etc, they will hear much worse in the playground, you should try a leeds V Man U game

Once identified, the 'action' will be taken. That will be decided probably between the 2 clubs but a life ban from Fev is guaranteed.
There is a mobile number constantly scrolling across the bottom of the scoreboard that is for anyone wanting to report any bad behaviour / trouble / issues. It gets straight through to the head steward who deals with any problems straight away.
