I've actually heard both these as well, allegedly from the same source (albeit indirectly)...

Worrying times indeed, especially when you consider that SL and the NRL are making noises about increasing the number of International games. Could this result in a requirement to reduce the number of domestic games and therefore the number of teams in Super League?

Richard lewis passed comments a few months back that sl could be reduced to 12 clubs again

1. OMG get a grip you lot Poskit has got a better Job so moved his career on.

3. And yes maybe in 4 or 8 years there will only be 1 West Riding team in SL as this makes most sense ( Please don't shoot the messenger but reality is this )

Do you have proof to say otherwise?

Fev have very little chance of getting into super league, their crowds are just not good enough. 1500 average. Their income is woefully short of expectations. They deliver on the field but off they are very poor.
Do they honestly think the RFL would have 3 teams in from Calder Area. Fev's ground is OK, but RFL are looking for Warrington, Salford , leigh, Saints standard, not a lego land bit of a stadium.

I can't see that. I'm sure that was just a warning shot across the bow to our two clubs. If one of us gets a stadium, it's the other plus one other. But who would that be? Unlikely that the sacred cow of the Broncos would go, or the Manchester anchor that is Salford. The Bulls won't, because it would affect revenue for their landlords, and would also mean that the door was shut forever on Halifax, leigh and the reformed Crusaders.

Latest rumour doing the rounds - Cas have sold their ground, build to start in 2013 at GH and Sainsbury to start at WR once planning is through. Tigers in talks with Cappers regarding a ground share at Postage Stamp Road for 2013.

The stadium news seems to be gaining a lot of steam, but we will have to wait another 4-5 weeks for anything on that.

Why would Cas go to a worse ground than they already have for a year and potentially lose a franchise when they would be able to get the Keepmoat for a year, which is a far better stadium and not that far away.

Not accurate. Wheels are in motion on a deal for WR but nothing is signed and there will be a funding shortfall which has to be bridged IF (and there is doubt about this) ALL planning issues go through ok.

Actually the club has said even with the shortfall the stadium can be built, just without some of the (pointless) extras that were going to be in.

Also nothing is signed yet because 2 companies have had confirmed offers placed.
