| Quote nottinghamtiger="nottinghamtiger"1. Read the thread. I don't support Chase playing for England. I accept it because the rules say he can.
2. I don't think Chase's loyalty is in doubt, signing a 4-year deal when he could have gone to practically any other team in a year's time.'"
No, Chase knows that when he has to re-apply for a visa he has no chance due to his off field behaviour. So he knows his best option is not rock the boat, show stability by staying at Castleford (on a better contract) and apply for citizenship so that when a big club comes calling he won't have to re-apply for the visa. What better way to support this than by representing England? He knows he won't command the same money in the NRL. Even the most biased Castleford fans know this (even if they won't admit it publicly) and are going to make the most of having such a good player at the club for the next few seasons.

| Quote Cecil B="Cecil B"Listening to a number of fans sat around me at the game last night, the majority of the England team aren't international class.
Funnily enough the Loiner fans seemed to think the team should have more Leeds players in and I bet you could say the same for Saints, Wigan and Warrington fans...'"
Personally i think Morley shouldn't have been picked from the off, and i think Atkins should have played instead of Yeaman BUT i'm not sure if Atkins wasn't picked or chose not to.
Myler i would have liked to have seen have a chance, he played brilliantly for the Knights
Bridge no, Harrison no, just forgetting for a moment they played for Ireland so shouldn't be picked anyway they haven't played well enough for selection

I suppose that's why he got his missus knocked up too, it's all a ruse to get him a visa right?
And as for the NRL comment, I'm pretty sure Brisbane tried to take him for when his contract ran out before he signed this new one.

On the basis he has international caps, he was international class HTH.

| Quote imwakefieldtillidie="imwakefieldtillidie"Where as the current rules are punishing the English players who could be playing in his place. You can twist this as much as you want, but the only reason you're supporting Chase playing for England is because he's a Castleford player. Let's say Vince Mellars decides to make himself available for England and as a result keeps out Joe Arundel for arguements sake, I don't believe for a minute that any of you will be coming on here saying "Well done Vince". Rangi Chase is a mercenary. If he has to no loyalty to his country, I can't see him having much for Castleford.'"
Funnily enough, I don't see any young/current English players kicking up a fuss about his selection?
If Vince Mellars was eligible, was good enough for selection (i.e. winning Man of Steel) and subsequently did well in a game in England colours I'd be the same as for Rangi.
I also didn't care when Fa'asavalu played for England. TBH, I'd love to have a few Islanders (or similar build) playing for England in the forwards. We might actually win something then.

And we still managed to sell-out Elland Rd didn't we? Obviously, Chase's unjustified selection had fans leaving the game in droves......
