You are being used as a vehicle to promote Probiz, wake up and smell the coffee Fev you're being had for mugs on the back of empty promises.

Its actually quite funny now I can fair feel the pain coming from some of the cas fans on here. Not all by the way some have had the sportsmanship to congratulate Fev.

What it also shows is that the product is also more important than how many fans you get through the gates..its called "Super League Rugby" not how many fans do you have.

Now I am a realist and have over the years had differing views on merger and I know this will not be popular with some fev fans and wakey fans but here goes.

If the day ever comes when it is decided that we are to merge then the only team I would consider supporting would be a wakey-Fev option.

Why Wakey ? well to me in Wakey I see a club not dissimilar to our own in its approach to things on and off the field at this present time.

In cas I see a club full of arrogance who believe because they are in SL they are something special,well have a sniff at that coffee Bigman and others. I would suggest you look at your other forum. Your fans are not happy,sponsors walking away from the club,CEO mrs slagging off sponsors,allegedly according to your cas forum members and so the cas tragedy goes on.

So anytime you want bringing back down to earth,come over to POR and we will serve you up a big mug of that coffee again like we did in front of the cameras tuther week

Not many people (a part from maybe Fully) thinks everything is rosie at Cas right now. However, losing against a Championship club, does not mean we are now no longer SL Standard. Cushler, you used examples of us getting thrashed by Wire & Wigan, so what, most teams will suffer thrashings from time to time. Not one of our sponsors has walked away (Probiz still sponsor us). People are frustrated with the lack of a new ground (myself included) but we can't financially ruin ourselves ala Crusaders, Wakefield, Bradford, (salford having financial worries).

Towns88 I only know what I read on the cas forum,to be fair I don't really give a toss,but when "some" cas fans still insist on the we deserve to be in SL because we have more fans approach then that day will be short lived because until you provide a product worth paying to see people will walk away.

Oh yeah definitely. Our crowds will die off towards the end of the season, because there will be mathematically bugger all to play for by August (imo). But that will be the case for 5 other teams in the league. I remember a season not too long ago when there was everything to play for until the final minutes. So even when was getting served up, fans would still turn up as there was an element of excitement & drama to play for. Get what I'm hinting at?

From a Cas perspective, we've had it tough this year, for the 3/4 week Basil was off, we were dreadful. We've been very inconsistent. I genuinely think next year will see an improvement with some big earners & small contributors coming off contract. Just remember, it was only last season were were a whisker from wembley.

And that for me is what is wrong with the present system the bottom half of SL is sterile. Im on the record as saying that if SL and just making up the numbers is the deal then I would rather stay and compete and win things in a lower league.

I watch Rugby league at all levels and I watch it for the product not how many pies we sell or fans we have.

I am also on record pre season as saying that Basil would make cas a top eight team with the right support from the BOD and fans,but to be honest reading the threads started by some of your fans re Basil they are quite shocking,some seem to think its a two minute job to make you champs

Under TM, our last 3 league positions were 7th, 9th & 9th. But as you say, Basil needs time and his own methods and players, but this season for me will definitely see us take 1 step back to potentially stride forwards.

Start eating. I can tell you now there were less there than at the Cas game which is disappointing but Friday night on Sky in the conditions was a good effort at this stage of our development.
As for Fev being able to compete in SL as a part time outfit no we couldn't because of the recovery time needed and if we went full time we would struggle like Widnes to be consistent, however over the course of a franchise DP would give us a better chance of being competitive than Betts will do at Widnes because we have the youth set up in place and he is a decent coach

Yes but they are not playing for you, thats whats counts. We have lost Shenton, greg eden, Andy lynch and many more. , we have 7 playing super league for cas you have 1 playing championship for fev.There is no chance of you playing in super league believe me. You are riding on the crest of a wave, make the most of it.
