When he was with us (Batley) in 2010 and made his pro debut, he was absolutely dreadful for the first 7 or 8 games he played. I mean REALLY dreadful - couldn't catch a pass, make a break or tackle for toffee. Then, all of a sudden, he picked up and looked a potent weapon. IMO, he's a kid who played for a bit too long in the Academy, up against kids he could bully around at will due to his size and speed. This was to the detriment of his game, as up against players he could easily handle - as opposed to being thrust into first-team action up against real men - little attention was paid to faults in his game. He's got definite ability and some great attributes, but needs some serious coaching.
