It's good to see he's getting back to the level that he played for leeds. He was unlucky in Oz with injury. He started well at Wigan but after the sending off at Warrington for the challenge on King seemed to knock him for 6. After that he seemed scared to tackle anyone and his confidence was completly destroyed.

He's definitely been one of our stand out performers this season, great in defence and links up well in attack and in addition, he's talking all the time and organising the lads in front of him, great signing!

Mather's was outstanding for us especially in the cc final where he pulled of 3 try saving tackles and was unlucky not to get MOM. Really
good player. Hope his form continues with you.

A great talent who doesn't like putting his body on the line when things are tough is my view. Has a tendency to go to acting half in his own 20 so he doesn't have to run it out.

But since signing for Cas, for what I've seen him, I've been very impressed indeed. He is safe under the high balls, strong in the tackle and a good link in the attacking line. Seems to have less pressure on his back and is playing the best rugby I have seen him play.

Sounds like he has imrpoved then! I never saw this when he was at Wigan.

Oh look a Wigan fan having a go at Mathers. Funny how fans from no other team agree with you

Maybe he played his best rugby after the 70 minute mark in a game when most Wigan fans wouldn't see it because they would have already left.

It was not an insult. He did not play well at Wigan.

I am just saying he must have improved.

Mathers is a very good player.
