Great now we need a big push for the next 3000
I am slightly disappointed that not more of current ST holders have signed up, especially as these are more than likely the ones singing and chanting about how loyal they are to the club and more of a fan than those who do not have season tickets.
To me the membership scheme is a much better system and well thought out process.
I like the idea of the prizes to encourage people to sign up and also the membership pack is something in return for showing your support.
I realise a lot of people are annoyed that they can't stand in the WRE because they are not a member, but with bronze membership only being £50 it's not that expensive when you think that you get 2 games included at £20 each, it's only really a tenner to get all the other benefits that come with the membership. A lot of clubs are either doing this already or are going to be doing this in future and having exclusive stands for their members. I really don't think it is going to be anything out of the ordinary and for once we seem to have jumped on the bandwagon early rather than playing catch up later.
I would like to see us reach the 5000 mark but unfortunately I think last seasons performances afftected the club and peoples attitudes towards it. However, we desperately need to reacht he 5000 mark if we are to have any chance of competing or surviving.
I agree we need some positive news of either a signing/stadium update or something along those lines but until people put some money in we are unlikely to see anything put out.
I want this club to be succesful and really do hope that people who are sitting on the fence on whether to get a membership go out and get one, you get out what you put in. Even if you can't afford silver, please try and get a bronze membership. I applaud all the people buying memberships who may never even get to a game. Dean Widders and Adrian Vowles being prime examples of the loyalty shown by some folk!
