| Quote frank5613="frank5613"It's all done because of the problems what accrue due to renting a ground from a football team, the two clubs sharing have overlapping seasons, & football takes priority,
The RFL & SL bend over backwards to accommodate them, even tough other teams have to suffer, if the boot was on the other foot, at least two of the clubs would be making a right stink,.......... the fixture list should be easy, home one week away the next, the only exception should be if the cup interferes.
When ever something is said about it, it's blamed on the mythical super computer, or should I say the canvas bag filled with balls nicely wormed up or cooled off so no mistakes can be made.'"
We have 2 in July, 2 in August - so were hardly backloading our home games to accomodate the football. Not sure on the reasoning behind your long absence for home games though

| that's the thing though Wilde3 - the only reasonable means for it is to accomodate football.
If Hull, Wigan, Hudd's etc are playing more home games in summer to alleviate congestion - teams like us must play away more often...
As i say, that's the logical reason, otherwise it's just rubbish fixture arranging.
Having Cas play Catalans, Magic weekend, London in three weeks is a disgrace to our fans

| There is no other explanation for the fixture list leaving any club with out a fixture for near on 2 month, so if you have a better explanation for it please give me your view, it's not just Cas, Bradford are in a similar position.
in years gone by some of the clubs complained if they were away for a few weeks never mind 7 weeks.

| The club could have challenged this and didn't.
But what annoys me more is the fact we have been lumbered with a short straw of having London, Catalan, Magic all back-to-back. Is it too hard for the RFL to split those up for each club so London are away the week before Magic in say Manchester or the week after. Same for Catalan.

| That is why clubs don't have a home game near on every other week, because clubs like Wigan cant play at home due to football regulations, Wigan do what their told because the football club comes first.
Wigan aren't in the same boat, there the cause.

Wigans last home game was 3rd May. Our next home game is v yourselves next Friday, that'll be eight weeks without a home game.
But, including the Cup v Widnes we will have seven of the last nine games at home.

Since we last played at home in Super League
Leeds - 3
Salford - 2
Saints
London - 3
Catalans - 2
Hull KR - 3
Widnes - 3
Huddersfield
Warrington -2
Wakefield
Hull
Wigan, Bradford and Cas haven't had a home game in that time frame. Incidentally, all these three teams played at home on weekend 3-5th May.
Cas and Bradford at home this weekend - Wigan are away.

| It doesn't make sense at all. How would we go on if all the SL clubs had to pay lip-service to their wendy-ball landlords ?

| Simple solution is to get tough... Home one week and away the next. if you can't fit your home game in at home then move it neutral as Salford had to vs Wakey last year..
