I think you're absolutely right about the point in bold, and I've heard it said by others who are closely involved with HQ.
My feeling is that one way or the other, they'll get us in and you out, either now or in the the next round of franchises, then apply pressure for a merger, which I'd be happy with, providing we play in red, white & blue at NM and are called Wakefield.
For my money, your continued SL existence stunts our growth - we've got the capacity to develop into a Wigan, Warrington, Leeds kind of club - you haven't, and the sooner everyone accepts that, the better.
Yes, I can tell how amused you are, by your spittle-flecked response and immediate sig creation. Touch a nerve?
Really though, if you think about it like a grown-up, two WMDC clubs in SL does stunt the growth of one or t'other; it's no surprise that I see it with a WTW bias, but it's hardly the most controversial conclusion to arrive at.

So in that case then, Wakefield AND Featherstone for that matter MUST be holding Cas back because they average a higher attendance and bring in better juniors and without the other 2 clubs there, Cas would be averaging 10k and have ALL the juniors in the area
I mean just look how much the Hull clubs are holding each other back....

Good to see that you've calmed down a bit. You seem to be suggesting that the ideal solution would be for all three clubs to come together under the WTW brand, perhaps with Featherstone acting as a feeder club? It would take a decade or so for the supporters to get over it, but the RFL would be in seventh heaven.
Hull are the exception that prove the rule, in that they seem quite capable of sustaining two SL clubs; not the case here I'm afraid.
Does anyone in Wakefield actually realise that nobody south of Sheffield hasn't a clue where Wakefield is? And calling any merged team Castleford or Wakefield wouldn't raise an eyebrow except from people who are aware of Xscape Castleford-Leeds...
It's impressive trolling anyway. At least, I hope it's trolling and not indicative of how far education standards in Wakefield have fallen.
You've worked for 3 years to build a team and although this season has effectively been written off you're still in a much better position than Widnes who'll no doubt bring in Aussies and journey men.
The RFL are destroying everything the club has worked towards, the loss in sponsorship, attendances and players.
If the RFL decide to send you down don't write it off, NL1 is a great league with some quality sides who are more interested in RL than RFL politics (you also get a seaside day out at Blackpool!)

Your careless use of multiple negation in the opening sentence has rendered its meaning equivocal; would you care to disambiguate?

Now, about those educational standards...
Oh Dear...!!
These comments smack of an already beaten, bitter troller who is having problems accepting the inevitable. Which rock will you crawl under on the 26th ??
