The good news after last nights games is that only one team out of Wire and quins can now finish above us as the two teams play each other on the final day meaning as long as we beat Celtic, both can not finish above us.

I think Wire are gunna be pumping after next weeks CC Final and will pick up wins against Hull KR and Quins on the final day giving them 4 points ( 2 above us)

This meaning we definitally need a win against Wigan or Quins, which if we get, will also see us in the play-offs for certain.

So Lets get behind the lads massively tomorrow because a win and were in the play-offs.

COME ON YE FORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!!!

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I think most Warrington fans would argue that reaching the cup final has pretty much killed off their prospects of even reaching the play-offs. If they win next week that won't matter but if they lose...

You can bet that if they win the final, the players will have a big party and won't have their heads in the right place at all for what will be a really tough and physical game the week after away at Hull KR.

If they lose the game they'll surely be on a downer with the same result.

Either way a likely defeat at Hull KR will leave them with the prospect of only 24 points maximum and out of the play off picture.

Remaining games;

Catalan - Wakey at Home, St Helens Away
Cas - Quins Away, Celtic Home
Wolves - Hull KR Away, Quins Home
Quins - Cas at Home, Wolves Away

I think Catalan will lose both games. Leaving them on 24 points.

Wolves will get beat at Hull KR after coming down from playing at Wembley to playing at KR (no disrespect KR fans) but they'll beat Quins the week after. That would leave them on 24 points.

Without wanting to tempt fate, I can't see anything other than a Cas win againts Celtic. That leaves us on 26 points.

Quins - As mentioned they won't beat Warrington away last game of the season. That leaves them on 22 points.

So if my predictions are right, no matter what happens at London we should make the playoffs.

I would like to see the Tigers beat Quins and not leave it to the last match of the regular season to secure a place in the play-offs.

Tbh i wont take anything for granted.
There's been some unusual score lines this season, anything could happen.

We have 2 very important games to play, i just hope the boys are fired up for them both.
I would be nice to go into the final game knowing we have our place in the play offs. We could all relax and just enjoy the game.

If we lose at quins and Wire beat Hull KR we CAN NOT get in the play-offs, as 1 of them two teams will win on the last day with each playing one another so in my eyes we have to beat quins otherwise we cant get in the play-offs. Gotta hope Hull KR beat Wire for us.

Are Catalans not in this equation then? And we can get in the play-offs if we lose next weekend.

Yeh we can but we will be relying on other results, you want that? If Quins beat us and Wire beat Hull HR plus Catalan beat Wakey (at home) we can not get in the play-offs. Id still say we need to win in 2 weeks as I dont believe awaiting other results will help us.

Do you really think Wire will beat HKR with their injury problems? All depends on the way the CC Final goes.

Let's look at the threats eh? As things stand we're holding on to 8th. Catalans are on equal points (but will keep a better diff barring a miracle). They close with Wakey and Saints and (worse case) you have to say they have an outside chance at both of those. Let's say they win both and finish on 28pts. That's as many as we can get, so they finish above us on diff. Everyone else above is out of reach so if Catalans win both the best we could therefore do is 8th.

Threats to us are therefore Wire and Quins with Bradford or Hull both mathematically possible too. However, Hull play Bradford and Wire play Quins in the last round - so they can't ALL win. That means we have just two threats - either Wire or Quins (but not both), plus either Bradford or Hull (but not both). Of those, it's the Wire/Quins threat we should worry about. If - as we expect - Cas beat Celtic, it will end the season for Bulls & FC because there's nothing either can now do to get to 26pts.

At the moment both Wire and Quins are on 22, so both need to win both of their remaining games to stand a chance. For Wire that means beating KR and Quins. For Quins that means beating Cas and Wire. To be honest I can't see either side winning both rounds, so assuming we get the two from Celtic you'd have to back us for 8th spot.

Of course the best way to put all this to bed is to beat Quins but even if we don't you've still got to be a loony not to back us, purely because we have a relatively easy final round while all the teams around us have to knock each other senseless to stand a chance.
