How have Bulls got under the radar? : Wed Jul 20, 2011 6:52 pm
In terms of the forthcoming franchises, how on earth have Bradford Bulls got under the radar. For me they are in a prime position for no franchise. They have failed to make the play off's in the last 3 years (assuming they dont make it this year). they have made little progress in the Challenge Cup.
The ground is the coldest and most remote in the RL, miles away from the action, it is as it was when it was built- a glorified quarry.

Their attendances dropped until this year when they gave season tickest away (£60), how much money have they lost on that one?.

Yes for me Bradford and Crusdaers along with Harelquins should be in the mix.

But logic plays no part in this procedure.

Agreed - but Bulls have shown a potential to get 15,000+ on a regular basis. I have no doubt this alone has kept them "under the radar".

"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"

I imagine around about nothing. Indeed I imagine they've had a massive upsurge in revenue because of the cheap season tickets.

Quins spokesperson on boots n all "We might not achieve much in year one" and went on to say they hope to be ok by year three but it really depends on if the team perform to bring in the crowds. Good luck with that one and shouldn't it be year four next season at least.

What a joke.

The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

Together with the Crusaders they are one of the teams that could genuinely double there crowds over the next 3 years....to a whopping 4,000!!!

underwriting...depending on team performances, visiting supporters, return from liquidation and BS on tv sabout the development of the game in that area.

A joke indeed especially as they are into about year 30 already

maybe its something to do with 4 super league titles since 1996

as opposed to castleford winning championship division 1 or whatever it was called, and maybe winning the odd raffle
