Hardly a good arguement when we would clearly benefit from having Snitch or Jackson back right now. They are not superstars but front rowers are in short supply.

Think Shenton coming back is a good deal for all parties.
Shenton will get his confidence back (he has not been poor. just not what he was before injury)
Cas get a great player the fans already like
Sts free a spot for someone they want.....probably one of the young Huddersfield lads.

Not really trolling, simply highlighting that our recently mocked youth setup currently contributes to just under 25% of your starting XIII. As for the quality we produce, please reference Ryan Hudson, Gaz Ellis and Ben Westwood.

But as I say, i'm not here to start another tedious measuring contest, just felt the need to defend our youth setup.

I think the original point was all the players produced by Wakefield tend to walk at the first opportunity. The post quoted from the one you took offence to was a poor troll attempt about how Cas let all the youth walk.

For the record I also think Wakefield youth set up is as good as anyone in the comp as is ours, its a shame that's where it ends and after that our clubs start to fail. But I won't open that can up

Ellis and Westwood may be "Quality", Hudson never was....

Hmm, I think in terms of talent he was up there but obviously personal issues have delivered a hammer blow to his career.

To be fair, as someone has said both clubs have got great academy setups and to be honest we can't really do much about the fact that they get cherrypicked constantly, except by becoming big clubs ourselves. Hopefully we are addressing this with our new stadium projects.

To be fair, the three players mentioned are at the back end of their careers and came through the Wakefield Academy over 12 years ago. Not had many successes since then though. Its a shame however as we have such a good catchment area that both Castleford and Wakefield should be able to flourish with local talent at the business end of the Super LEague table.
