Not buying the hooker to half argument, especually without a ball handling specialist loose. We could kind of get away with it when we had Vowles at 13 for example, becuase he went there from 6. I don't think given we play 3 back rowers we can get away with it. Likewise, if you have Kidley, Stewart, Minichello at full-back to add to your line, but we don't. So I would rather play a junior who simply playes pivot and let Rangi play Stand Off proper to run round them and roam as opposed to Danny and Rangi and play a left and a right.If we have a specilaist half we rate in the junior competition, then if we dont give them a shot we are kicking all the juniors and scolarship players in the stones.
We could play McGoldrick there and then get the right Second Rower a stretcher booked for their drop off in the inside channel with a red cross on it every set.
