I was wondering yesterday when was the last time we scored 50+ points, three times in a league season (excluding the two seasons in NL1) as I couldn't recall a time when it had happened. Indeed I was correct as, looking back it doesn't appear to have happened in my lifetime (since 1981). Whilst there have been plenty of 50+, 60+ and even 70+ scorelines, we've only been able to do it twice a year it would seem.

Note - I haven't looked any further back than 1981 so it might never have happened!

Like it or not, open rugby has now made it so that 50+ games are more the norm and basketball scorelines don't even raise an eyebrow these days!
