Aye, a trip to Batley is always a good day out and hopefully our grandson's first Fax away game! Let's see if last week's performance was a sign of a return to early season form and not just a blip.We must keep LJ at half back. It’s no coincidence the attack was far sharper with Louis pulling the strings so fingers crossed on that one. I'll go for Batley 12v32 Fax. 

Yep. McCarron will be missed but we have a few options up front and Douglas named in the squad was a concern so hopes he’s fit. Just need a repeat of last weeks commitment on show at the mount.

Decent game although we bombed several good chances meaning it was a lot closer at the end than it should have been . We looked the better side but spent far too much time just trying to batter down the middle - almost every time we moved the ball out wide with any conviction we scored. Tangata was tireless and made several good breaks including the winning try, Graham took his trys well and is definitely better on the wing than centre - that said Saints loanee centre was quite anonymous after a good debut last week. Nofaluma probably just my MOM - takes the high ball well, returns strongly and is always looking to make things happen. Saw McCarron with his leg in a brace - doesn't look likely to be back any time soon. Really like everything about Batley - except that bloody slope - seen us lose more over the years than win so overall happy with the result.

Fev fans seem to think McCarron has signed for them for next season.

In which case and with him being injured at present i'm not bothered if we see him in a fax shirt again.Far too early to commit for next season,if our competition had any credibility in the first place it totally undermines it.

Pretty much spot on this.Sambou's only contribution was to bomb a try early on.Not sure why he was favoured over Graham on that surface,but team selection has us all baffled at times.Assume Calcott was injured ?

I feared the worse with it chucking it down and i just thought this suits a John Kear coached Batley side more than it does us. And at 16-6 down with not long to go i thought we had lost it but thankfully a strong finish saw us home. It is clear now who Kyle wants in certain positions like Woody in the halfs and who as fallen out of favour like Brad Graham plus a few others who are only considered when we have injuries. It will be interesting who stays and goes come the end of the season one thing is for sure we will need to improve a lot to get the points on friday.
