Taken from the leigh board, thought it may be useful Hi all, I suspect you may have heard about this, but early next week all UK Mobiles will be on a directory which will mean that anyone will be able to access the numbers. It is easy to unsubscribe but if you want to make sure you are ex-directory it must be done before the beginning of next week. You may want to suggest it to all your friends and family who have UK Mobiles or they could be swamped by unsolicited massages and calls. All numbers including those belonging to children will be open to cold calling and the general abuse that less scrupulous telesales people subject us too. To remove your number go http://www.118800.co.uk then go to ex-directory (you will need your mobile with you to do this)They will text you a code that you then enter into there website. Thanks for that info.Have sorted my number to be ex-directory and am passing website on to friends.Still getting stupid calls on landline despite asking to have them stopped so definitely don't want those sort of calls on mobile
