Didnt it say in the Courier last week that Matt missed his appointment with the hospital, one reason why it's been delayed probably.

He will have been in pot since it happened which is the usual way of treating a scaphoid break. He will have then been re-scanned after having the pot off to see if the bone has healed or if there is still mal-union meaning that surgery I.e. pinning is needed. It seems the bone has not healed properly and now needs surgery.
