A quick look at Google Throws up- http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/artic ... d=10526763 which says he went to NZ to join the Dibble, but http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/artic ... d=10526993 Says the NZ police have no record of him, so he may well be a firey.

Last thing we heard was that he was a Policeman in NZ. How ironic.

There is no doubt he was a very talented player, but a total waster. IMO we actually missed him on the park after he did his runner (taking a club-owned car and a large sum of money with him).

The condition he was in when he came back from Oz after Xmas 2007 was scandalous and a sign of total disrespect for the club and fans.

The info about him now being a firey in Aus was gained from a long chat I had with one of our current players, not gonna name him, but for arguments sake, lets call him Sam Slack. At the time of Pat doing a runner I was not aware of what a complete tw#t the Barrow chairman was. If I had know then I would of driven him to airport and flogged the sh#tty rover myself!!!
