Some people have really got their knickers in a twist about this havnt they. All he has stated is just about what every clued up fan already knows. To say we have as much chance as anyone else is just naive. You really think we start on a level playing field with someone like Crusaders. I dont think we have a chance, but its the manner in which he did this which is in question. If there was a debate going on about superleague applications and his opinion was debated by all in the studio it would have been understandable, howeve this was not the case it was talking about Brian Noble and Eddie just threw in the comment "dont forget that Halifax are still in the mix for Superleague come July" and Carney sticks foot well and truly into gob and says "No, No, No they are not, I am ruling them out completely". This took Eddie by surprise, but no further debate was forthcoming.

He probably doesn't like ' toeing the party line ' and discussing something like ' franchise applications ' isn't where he is at , its got bugger all to do with RL , he also probably sees it for what it is , just Fax being used to give a proccess some strange sort of credibility

Maybe he should be asked to explain his comments. Im not reading that as he is slagging the club off. Maybe he is saying that as though he knows its a closed shop when it shouldnt be.

Its not so much that hes insulted the club, but when people have worked really hard over the last 3 years putting are bid together why does he feel like he has to reapeatedly say tht we have no chance of getting a franchise in july?? Its an insult to the people who have all that time putting the bid together isn't it??
