I'm game for a volunteer day but only if I can borrow your hose pipe to jet the gutters

Good idea I also think there needs to be some kind of 'steering group' that keeps an eye on things and is the link between the fans of both clubs and the stadium staff/Council.
That way the fans will feel more 'involved' and real problems will hopefully get solved!
But again we will need a decent stadium manager to make the Shay be what we all want it to be and not deteriorate into a tip!

I think we the fans of both clubs should start probing to see why things are not getting done as surely there is a Health & Safety check and a stadium standard that has to be done

 boringggg

What do you think the Council's Safety Team do, or arent they doing their job properly either?

Everyone should resign and put you in charge given your experience and knowledge in everything. I bet Matt Calland is looking over his shoulder with fear.

Why do you make this so personal?
Take off your blinkers mate, this is a fans forum and I am expressing my view as a fan of both clubs and a local who wants the best for us all at the Shay.
Did I say I was an expert? No I made a suggestion thyats all, please stop this stupidity.

Isnt it time Bubba, whoever you are (we have not met, thankfully) stopped s-it stirring on here and concentrated on his beloved FCHT who have just announced their opening fixture ( on the 11th July if they can raise a team for Halifax) against a top team, Brighouse Town!!! I`m sure that will pack e`m in and they may well lose to a team of amateurs.
There are certain people who "work" down at the Shay and get paid very good money for not a lot of effort. We can all see the place is not being well maintained and perhaps Mr B Snr could spend some time picking up litter an doing a bit of painting rather than sitting round drinking cups of tea and passing information on to all and sundry via his sad relatives.
I presume he is still on the scene, or is he taking part of his 8 week annual leave? Paid for by us the ratepayers of Calderdale :x

Such an aloof demeanour is not becoming of someone with so much bile to spout.

But that`s not entirely his fault he`s used to the Wendyball board where it apears anything goes.

Also as far as I remember the fans have been down there before doing all the fencing etc and with much ceremony (including picture in local paper)all the work was handed over to the Stadium Trust to keep up to.
Unfortunatly they let it go to rack and ruin again.
