Simon Grix has grown on me throughout the months of this year , he seems like a genuinely nice guy and the people around him don’t have to say a bad word around him , ultimately a small squad has cost us in the end as we looked tired and beaten up early on , great effort and something to build on for next season especially with the rumours of quality coming in . We’ve lost a lot of players during and at the close of the season and it’s a must we have a bigger squad ( if funds allow ) for next year .

My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

Part quote from The Beggars Littany by John Taylor circa 16C

From Hell,Hull and Halifax may the Good Lord deliver us.

It is a fact the players were on empty and after last week probably pulling up the reserves of what has been a successful year, like others have said we would have taken third before the season began, it looked as though Fax had recruited well but a rocky start did not do much for the confidence or some of the commenters on this forum.
I watched the game on Sky , however I thought from the get-go when coming onto the field body language showed a beaten team, Fev ran out pumped up, Fax seemed to stroll out fearing the worst.
What’s done is done onto next year and improvement on and off the pitch. Up theFax!

Aye. I agree with most of that. In the lead up to the semi-final the language and general attitude coming out of the club was very subdued to say the least. But it's gone and hopefully next year brings some normality back to the game, and the world, and with our rumoured signings Fax can at last get back to where we all want them to be. Up The Fax! :thumb:

What does CR bring to your squad as a number 7? Cleanest shirt on the pitch again.

As we have discussed off forum concerning SG.
Great endorsement from one of the games best in Lee Briers.

Thought the difference in ruck speed was the main difference, even when they will going up hill. Quite obvious we were 2-3 quality forwards short - been the same situation for 2nd half of season.

Can't fault the effort though. Never gave in despite being 2 subs short and many of the players busted. Lots of positives for next year.

You cant fault the effort of the team on saturday. We just came up against a fresher and bigger side who i think james webster should be credited with getting the best out of. I know they have more money then most in the championship but they do play a tough and entertaining brand of rugby and i fancy them to win next sunday. And as already been said the rumored signings for next season do sound very promising but they do need to include some more firepower in the forwards especially the front and second row. If we can get that then there is no reason why we cant finish even higher next season.
