Ey-up Ian. We do look unfit, agreed. But, until today, Larroyer has looked a good lad. Unfortunately this is a trait with Marshall. He hardly ever seems to improve the players that he has. I'm not happy. The Grove, shuddersfield. Wylam Galatia 3.9%. Mmm!

Pete, I’m only saying what it looked like today,Toronto ran the show and scored 3 tries on the last tackle.
I’m not saying RM is the problem though, he looked puzzled at the way Fax folded, looking at your fixtures you have a relatively comfy game in the Cup, followed by another comfygame the week after, then a run of 4 hard games which could shape the rest of your season.

We at Leigh are similar, I just think without the Saints DRs we will struggle, and I’m at a loss where Fev are concerned, still promises to be a good season.

Pete for me you have a few players carrying to much weight,Murrell, Grix , and Barber to name 3, and Larroyer looks like he’s not bothered.I stand by my comment weeks ago Fev , Fax and Leigh will be fighting out the 5th spot..

Murrell looks a spent force, ok he's 33 but looks more a liabilty at the moment !

Most of us would still like to think that we will be good enough to be competing at the top, certainly of the Championship and even get back into Super League one day.

However, as hard as it may be to accept at this point in time we are performing like a mid table side that has gone as far as it can and is going into decline.
I fear it is one season too far with a lot of the current personnel unfortunately.

No excuses for Murrell to be 'looking' as overweight as he is. Both Sims and Wilkin are older and looked very lean. The troubling thing and I maybe misguided given I haven't seen many matches live the past couple of seasons, is how painfully sw and pedestrian our attack looks and I hate to say, when the ball gets into Murrell's hands any zip evaporates. It also is painfully clear this season how we miss Cahalane and Tangata. With ball in hand, they would always bring that extra phase or an attacking dimension but I can't see where that is this year.

I managed to watched this game, the first 1/4 Fax were in the ascendancy, taking the points as they came, quite up beat then after absorbing pressure the wolfpack opened up,'Fax looked to be blowing after 15 mins, all change, fast movements slick passing people running onto the ball, a different game, they always made 40/50 mtrs in the first 3 tackles.
Fax looked slow by comparison when they had the ball, I advocated last week that lighter more mobile props offer a different game, why try and use them as line breakers? spin the ball use the speed.
Fax again gave at least 2 tries away from needless penalties.
As previous comments Fax gave the ball to static players, no one on the move seem to lack motivation and scared of getting to the opposite half, and the whitewash, missing line breakers, Fax have some quick men, bring them in at speed more chance of breaking the line at speed . yes a part time team, but fitness looked woeful , bring back the conditioner ( sorry can t remember his name Holroyd?) it will be money well spent.
if this is incoherent and jumbled, then a bit like my brain at the moment Fax is all over the place.

Although the manner of the defeat was questionable and we most certainly could have controlled aspects of the game much better ie ruck speed and penalties again, when you breakdown that Toronto team, we are talking about truly class players who have played at an elite level for considerable time; Leutele (NRL winner, 100 + games and tries for Cronulla), McCrone (150+ NRL games), Wilkin (International, countless winners medals, 400+ games in super league), Sims (200+ NRL games, Grand Finalist), Lussick (120+ NRL games). Not to mention McDermott as coach. I think Rawsthrone is absolute class. He's so strong with the ball, got great hands and makes things happen. I think he's probably overlooked in that Toronto team. It reminded me at times yesterday when we played the likes of Canberra and Canterbury in the 97 world club challenge; just pure exhibition stuff. I think unfortunately we were playing them at our lowest ebb in years. When sky had up the stats at the end of the first half; same completion rate but 16 points behind. We need to really do a number on Hunslet and Rochdale before the Bradford and Toulouse game.

Only Barrow and Swinton now with worst defences than us this season. What happened there then? It seems anytime Marshall brings in more than 1 or 2 players the team performances dip. Would it be fair to question his man management skills?

After last week I said there was no way Barber should keep his place and after this week theres no way Fleming should keep his place. The young lads at the club must watch some of these performances and wonder how the hell the senior players get away with them and keep their places.

Toronto, class side full of class players ect with 000000's spent on the team yes but apart from Rochdale, Fax was the worst performance of the season against them.

Toronto looked about two stone a man lighter and a yard and a half quicker.
