What on earth are you on about Colin? I really don't understand your response to my posting to TS that you have quoted.
To tackle the bit about "Just 4 Losses" I think just looking at the forum there are many people disappointed at the sheer way the team has collapsed in recent weeks.I'm disappointed at the durge that has been served up in recent weeks. I am disappointed but not just about performances on the field right now. If you read my posts you just might see where I'm coming from.
I am 1 yr older than you and have too watched fax since I was 5. I take my young lad and his mates to every game, it costs me a fortune (£7 juniors at SE) but win lose or draw, play bad or good I wouldn't miss it for the world.
When Fax score a try and the young lads start singing the song goose pimples come on, these lads are the fax of the future and there not negative about the club when things aren't going there way.
were lucky we've been to wembley and won the ultimate prize, these lads haven't but still they wouldn't see any other team, not like their school mates who wear man u shirts etc...
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I can understand the moderators point, but can see how you feel annoyed as well but hey that's FAX and we love it!
I truley hope you rethink and turn up at Batley if not for your kids sake!
We love you Halifax we do, We love you Halifax we do,We love you Halifax we do, oh Halifax we love you.
Oooooooohhh Hali Hali..... Hali Hali Hali Hali Halifax
Were Blue, were White, were f (oops cant use that one anymore, shame)
Were proud of you, were proud of you, were proud of you, were proud.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey.
Lets not be too hard on Chris Smith, actually hes got a point, were a bit poor lately and a bit of passion and spirit is whats missing, at least HRLFC has a beating heart, i guess we just wanna feel proud that, i suppose even players and people running the club go through disillussioned fazes and need to refocus
'what are we trying to achieve'
I would be saying to all the players and everyone at the club who comes into contact with them.
'Your careers are short, regret things you have done, not what you didnt do, and most importantly of all, succes wont come to them, they will have to go and get it, and bleedin well work hard for it'
Everything will be worth it the end, now get down and give me 50

The reason I qouted TS's reply was because it was a continuation of what you were talking about.
If you believe the team has "collapsed" how do you explain them winning for long periods of the Sheffield game ?
The repsonse in the 2nd half against Haven ?
COLLAPSE ??? We were simply beaten by teams who worked us out, that's the nature of the sport.
But, I have a question for all the doubters of this team and indeed the bonus point itself, if Halifax had no stomach, how did they get the bonus point against 'Haven, that was some comeback when it would have been easier just to give in ? Maybe a few truths were told in the dressing rooms at half time, maybe a bit of team tinkering went on, maybe a few players challenged themselves. We, like any other side do not have a divine right to win every game. We're stuck between the devil & the deep blue sea, do we want to watch our team lose by one point like at Cas, but play brilliant ? Or do we want to settle for putting enough points together to finish top ( even if that means scratching around for bonus points when things aren't going our way) ?
I'd rather we finished top, we've been the entertainers, now let's be the champions, we're at the serious end of the season now.
I haven't posted since thursdays game until now so i have had time to mull over it and calm down on the emotions front. I came away from sheffield really down in the dumps and feeling i had wasted my money for the third match in a row swearing i would not go to batley, knowing deep down i wil be their thursday night wearing my fax shirt with pride because no matter what form we're in i love this club and am addicted to watching fax. We should all be used to things not going smoothly and not winning when we should because thats always been the way of Halifax RLFC in my time of supporting (about 14yrs) and i believe we will turn it around starting at batley. Come on guys and gals lets get behind matt and the boys as we always are and give them the lift they dearly need right now. Halifax RLFC onwards and upwards!!

I do want to draw a line under this but I do want to tackle some of this Colin. The team were winning for long periods and were 18-4 up at one stage. Again our ball control and composure let us down (Basic Rugby) Sheffield are well drilled and do the basics very well, but man for man they simply wanted it more than us. A team that on paper should not get anywhere near us. We needed to grind out a result and we were incapable of doing so and failed to even muster your beloved bonus point. Had we tried and been beaten by a better side I don't think this would be the case. We beat ourselves, dropped off tackles and handed the game to Sheffield.
As for Whitehaven, where do I start . . . . . . . . . The worst 65 mins of rugby league in recent years. Players sticking out an arm in an attempt at a tackle, poor ball control, wayward passing and in my opinion a severe lack of backbone. Whitehaven did not work us out we were absolutely appalling and shocking in this period (Hence the booing). The last 15 minutes were against a side who thought they had the game sewn up, tired and lost momentum going forward and would have been VERY unlucky to lose that game. Whitehaven simply switched off, as we did versus Featherstone. Again a game where poor decision making and ill discipline lost us the game.
A game you failed to mention was Widnes, a game I took the day off work to attend (my choice I know) My point is though I'm sure we failed to complete a set of six in the first half and for 15-20 minutes of the second. Again Widnes turned off for the last 15 minutes but they managed to shut the game down and we only managed a couple of consolation trys in this period. A lesser side may have conceded more points and made the final score look less convincing.
We all have our opinions and as people have said we all want the same thing but we all have different opinions and ways in which we communicate it. I don't agree with people trying to make people look/feel stupid or small on here and I ceretainly didn't appreciate being called a liar regarding how many years I've watched the team, Why would I - I've watched them for 30 years and am proud to have done so. Also just because I don't post on here regularly a moderator bags me and accuses me of coming out of the woodwork and because my opinion is different to his my posts are "rants". I'm sorry I didn't realise this forum was moderated by Stalin.
Anyway after this experience I think I'll just crawl back under my rock and resort back to reading only again as its clearly only for people who have an opinion similar to regular contributors/moderators.
For the record I love my team and have always done what I can for the good of it. We have good times, we have bad times collectively and I hurt when I don't see the same pride/effort being put in. I'm from Halifax and love my club, I wear my shirt with pride and will ALWAYS back my team win, lose or draw if I see the same in return. Hand on heart have you seen pride and 100% commitment in that Blue and White Shirt recently because I haven't. Its all I ask.
My first son is due to be born in 4 weeks and will I be buying him a shirt?? . . . . . . God damn right I will and he will wear it with the same pride his dad does.

You make some god points and summarise the games well. But dont you think your getting too worked up?
We lost games we shouldn't have and the players have not delivered as they should, IT HAPPENS.
We'll improve and you will soon forget this spell.
Only reason I did the last post was to summarise why I have apparently "ranted" recently (into one big post)!! and the basis behind my disappointment. I was made to feel like I had to defend myself.
If this forum was a bar I'd have walked out a long time ago as it can give you the same feeling as those two poor sods who walked into the pub in American Werewolf in London!!

Totally agree on the bar thing, I was accused of being a rogue user when I first joined and abused by a fellow FAX fan!, still had no apology! (littlerich).
I know I joined it over 7 years ago and I chose to just read it mainly, I know why now and that will remain to be the case. I also know a few people who used to be regulars on here and they have chosen to not post for similar reasons.
