I think if you're fans had entered into the spirit of the occasion then there could have been a chance of getting somewhere near that attendance.

| Grix in the worrier has said that he thinks the team has reached the end of it's natural lifecycle. Inclined to agree and perceptive but still no excuse for yesterday. I know coaches don't make mistakes but clearly it was tough to understand what structure we were playing to. We seemed to have some early success down that left hand side but as soon as QLT got put into touch, we couldn't complete. I think that we must have down at 50%. Grix isn't getting across his game plan accordingly as some of the ridiculous offloads in our own 20 were testament to that. Thought Brandon Moore was awesome yesterday and would be surprised if we kept hold of him. Murrell needs a rest so I think we should see QLT at 6 and Johnston at 7. QLT looked threatening with ball in hand yesterday and Johnston need to be brought at halftime, not with 15 minutes to go. Ultimately, we were always playing catch up. A more composed first 40, even going in 8-10 points down, I think we would have sneaked it at the end.
There is enough quality in that team to be in the 5. What worries me is that it's all well and good talking about Grix building his own squad but I have concerns about the quality of player that we can attract in a highly competitive division.

| absolutely shocking game. Abysmal 1st half, didn't really improve until Flanagan got sent off.
Butler needs to go. His heads not in it anymore.
Scott Grix doesn't seem to have offered anything since coming.
Larroyer looks disinterested and i don't understand Cooper, am i the only one that doesn't see how he can be playing at this level?
anyone know why JWH isn't being played at the minute? He needs to be in for me!
Jonno was fine but as mentioned above, he needed to have been brought in long before the last 20.
QLT surprised me on that left edge, i thought he was brilliant in the second half.
Other than Sharp, Robinson & Salty, i couldnt tell you who else was even on the pitch, just bang average players playing poor rugby.

Totally agree with all that.Grix giving that stupid penalty away with 2 mins left-supposed to set a fecking example-he's been every bit a liability than an asset since his arrival.Cooper couldn't catch a cold and while Morris is solid he offers nothing that an amateur player couldn't give.

I can't disagree with any of that and regarding Cooper no, I have had similar conversations about him there have been games where I haven't know he's been on't pitch. We really need to get things sorted out and quick.

| Robinson good going forward but his defence is questionable, 2 tries past him, even if the first one happened the second shouldn’t have. 2 yards offside for Minichello’s try but we still didn’t deserve anything given the appalling first half.
I did hope the stupid penalties might have gone with a Marshall but no, and offloads in your red area, FFS, get the dumb mistakes sorted and we might give ourselves a chance.

I thought Tyrer was to blame for one of the 2 down Robinsons side. The other you could probably question him as its his sliding defence that means Robinson has to hold leaving room for the winger.

Fair point, or we could give Webster credit I guess.

| A game we could/should have won (albeit playing against 12 was an advantage that we capitalised on it has to be said). Where has our team spirit gone? Scott's joyful reaction to a couple of incidents didn't seem to be matched by the rest of the team? We're carrying some (either not good enough or, like Chester, not interested now), but we should have had enough to win that one.
Looks like mid-table now, hopefully no embarrassment vs St Helens, and move on to next season. We'd probably need to win at least 7 and maybe 8 or all 9 of the remaining games to make the 5?
Up the Fax, and hope we can raise our game in the semi!
