Well I'm looking forward to a couple of days by the seaside, and I hope the Fax players not in the squad join the band of supporters that are there.

Given the speed we play at, I'm expecting (hoping?) that we make it all the way.

The players should be up for it - an enthusiastic team should be in there whatever the competition.

If we take the 9's serious we will (or at least should) destroy everyone else TBF, but we may just go to p!ss about and try some crazy moves which dont always come off

Don't be silly. There is £ 6000 to be had for the winners . All to be shared between the squad. I think they may just be up for it.

From what I can gather the 9s were intended to be at Stanley Park where they play League . The guys over at Blackpool have been working on the 9s and the evening dinner dance on the Saturday night since last Nov. This would have given a rugby league club a little bit of a lift.
Then the RFL shifted the 9s venue to Fylde Rugby Union ground but still allowed Blackpool Panthers to organise the evenings entertainment to compensate for change of venue. Then only a few weeks ago the RFL decided to change the evening dinner venue elsewhere as they needed the room themselves for RFL sponsors and stuff . Leaving the Panthers to find another venue at short notice and leaving Fylde rugby with a very lucritive Saturday. Then 4 days before the event the night do gets pulled because most of the teams drop their booked tables due to the fact the sponsors are holding their own dinner on Sun and the winning teams are going there .
You couldn`t make it up if you tried the whole lot of them are buffoons and that `s apart from the fiasco of the tickets.

Nothing surprises me with people running our game, either at national level or International Level. Certain teams favoured for SL, One Rule for one team and another for the rest. Doncaster, Hunslet, Rochdale left to rot whilst Celtic helped out as much as possible. No Financial Report from the World Cup saying how much profit has been made and where its going exactly, Dumb Circus in Blackpool which has little interest. Players can choose which ever Nation they want then change to another 6 months later!Really despair at the way the Sport is run at many levels.

I have to agree, we are a professional/semi-professional sport run by amatuers, and have been for a long time. Unfortunately I cannot see this changing in the near future.

I have SKY but cannot stomach watching the NRC Final. I'd rather watch Songs Of Praise. I've never felt so gutted in this respect .... I've watched finals before when we, ourselves, have fallen at the last couple of hurdles. Am I getting old and bitter? I dunno.
