There are a few different ways of looking at the next round.
If we are gonna eventually lose in a money spinning tie, at home to a SL team, it might be best to do it in the next round, less fixtures and fatigue as the season progresses. The prize money for losing in last 16 or last 8 cannot be too drastic (can't quote a figure, just an assumption).
BUT
If we draw a lower league team in next round we should progress, meaning we will be in the quarter final of the CC. If we then get a home tie, against SL opposition, there is a fair chance of being on TV, regardless of the team we play or the result, the extra exposure given to the club would be priceless.
The buzz around the town for the Melbourne game and the last 2 Widnes games was very refreshing, a CC quarter final would really raise the bar.
Before the season began all thoughts were on winning NRC and getting to Grand Final, nobody even dreamed of a good CC run, lets enjoy it while we can, we've waited long enough.
COME ON FAX!!!
My choice would be Oldham at home, then absolutely any SL team at home.
No disrespect to Oldham but we would be massive favourites to win that tie and they would bring a few fans
