Regarding the prop situation, we’d all love a 6 ft 6 ,20 stone prop that runs like a train and does it all game and smashes people in d, however there’s not many if any about certainly who are gonna play at championship level.So what’s the next best thing , the next best thing is to get rotating forwards of similar ability competing for 2/4 spots , so hypothetically you have tangata , gee , Murray , Kavanagh, Morris , Douglas , knowles , fairbank , garside , roberts , barber , gwayze , larroyer calcott all competing for the same positions , that’s 14 blokes all training and playing for a place in the squad and this time when we starting getting knocks and form dips you ve got a ready made replacement.
We’re only 3 signings in but if the squad is what it is rumoured to be then I think Grix has a perfectly balanced side , a mix of flair , solid defence , Ruck speed , youth and experience, looking forward to next season.
