UK Asylum seekers : Thu Apr 14, 2022 10:04 am
Seems like Pritti Patel is almost going for a Guantanamo Bay option for single men, arriving in the UK illegally.
Single male's are now to be sent to Rwanda for "processing" on a one way ticket.

It will certainly slow down the "rush" to get here but, it will be interesting to see how this actually works

It wasn't so long ago that there was major conflict in Rwanda and it's not likely to be no 1 on anyone's preferred destination, especially if
they are already fleeing conflict.

Resettlement does not indicate much of a review process.

It's a (very) crude attempt to deter anyone setting off to the UK without proper arrangements.
Sounds like there will be an appeal ?

Well he is the leader of the opposition to Johnson’s government.

While there are plenty of good words for Johnson there aren’t many nice ones. He’s a wrong ‘un.

What’s the best, nicest thing you can say about Johnson?

You do know he is the leader of the opposition which means part of his remit is to point out the timing of this announcement and the fact that it will cost the taxpayers a lot of money if it goes ahead. I don’t think unlike you he needs to find a positive for everything de Pfeffel does.

He's apologised for lying and misleading Parliament :D

I keep getting a yellow line across my screen from the elusive one after my posts, I hope he's not being too unkind, but I rather think he's doing some chomping.
