Sainsbury's Entertainment : Fri Jan 04, 2013 6:07 pm
Used google shopping and found that SE website was the cheapest of an album I wanted to buy my missus for Christmas. Ordered on 12/12 and it stated 3-5 working days tops.

As its a Christmas period all 7 days of the week were working days for Royal Mail meaning I should have it in time.

Still not received it to this day and Sainsbury's did not want to know at all. Awful customer service online with premade replies.

Finally given me a refund today which may take up to 28days to show!! Are we back in 1980 again?

Never again.

Their stores are no different, I can't understand why anyone would ever shop there.

I only expect a Lada at Rolls Royce prices these days but, but you rarely get that.

My wife's Christmas present hasn't arrived yet. Said it could tale 28 days. Looked online and it still just says "ordered" after about 3 weeks! Mind you, that only cost me £143,500 so what do you expect?

Are you sure you ordered for delivery to your home and not to store?

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

Re: Sainsbury's Entertainment : Sat Jan 05, 2013 12:36 am
We ordered a chiminea and 4-piece garden furniture set from Asda Direct. Having seen them instore we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and price.

We got a phone call a week later saying the chiminea had been cancelled and refunded as it was (and this is the truth) too big to deliver. When we rang, the nice lady in India said it wouldn't fit through the letterbox.

The garden set arrived and I unwrapped it, checked it over and planned to assemble the next day. Unfortunately that night was extremely stormy and the glass tabletop blew over and smashed. I called Asda and told a little porky pie, that it had arrived broken. After months of trying to arrange collection, following which a new set would be delivered, Asda gave up and just refunded the entire set without us even asking. Not a problem, I found a place that did a piece of reinforced glass for pennies.

In the meantime we'd been in our local Asda and seen the chiminea at half price. So now we have all our garden furniture and chiminea for just over £40.

Shocking service but somehow ended up rosy. :)

So the garden furniture fitted through the letterbox ?

No wonder they broke the glass top.
