You can laugh. Biggest selling game on the XBOX360? Black ops (12 million). Biggest selling game on the Wii? Apparently Wii Sports, but after that Mario Kart Wii (28.23 million) and a little further down the list is New Super Mario Bros (21.94 million).
You are powerless. Join the brotherhood!
Just a shame around 27 million Mario Kart Wii's and around 20 million New Super Mario Bros spend their lives locked in a cupboard with a Wii that hasn't been turned on in the last 6 months
I don't see it as a game, it's my life and if you don't take the 'game' as serious as I do then don't bother playing me because the adreniline rush I have from winning is better than any recreational drug could ever give me. When my all Brazil team wipes the floor with 'Team Gooner' or 'Team I'm loving poop and I will quit when you go 2 up or just play the ball around the back for the rest of the game' I get an enormous sense of wellbeing and self importance that cannot be matched by any other life activity.
Alllllllllllllllllllll the people, so many people, they all go, hand in hand, hand in hand through their, parklife!!
After getting pretty annoyed with FIFA's passing system, I've changed the settings to manual for just about everything, feels much better, doubt I'll be going back to assisted passing/shooting tbh.
I would just like to offer a word of warning to anyone on here who's left their credit or debit card details on their Xbox Live account. Your account is most likely to get hacked and stolen. I'm speaking from personal experience here as my Xbox Live account was hacked on the 20th Aug this year. Luckily I was using my Xbox at the time and got an email notification of 2x of 5000 Microsoft points being bought with my card. Managed to get Xbox support to stop them getting away with the points and freeze the account. However, I was told that the investigation would take 21 days to get my account back and a refund for the points bought fraudulently on my account. Today is day 31 and all I've had in relation to this was one stock response email with a free month's gold subscription. So I'm not best happy with the muppets at Microsoft right now
Downloaded FIFA today, it's going to take some getting used to having to use so many buttons for defending, but it was a little bit too easy just to win the ball.
The impact engine however is shocking. I think we played about 10 games, and I can think of at least 4 times that players have fallen in a stupid way or flipped 180degrees from a slight nudge.
Hopefully just demo glitches and the actual game will have these sorted.
The only modern games I can imagine ever had supply problems would have been GTA4, Modern Warfare 2 or possibly Shenmue on the Dreamcast. To be fair, it's less likely to happen these days as creating each copy of a game costs literally pence in media and duplicators fees, far less than it did in the days of tapes and floppy disks and obviously the very expensive media of cartridges. For that reason alone I would expect the last fully sold out game to be a Nintendo 64 game.
Maybe Perfect Dark?
The expectations were massive - bigger than any game i can remember.
GTA4 properly sold out. I remember going to Toys R Us at lunchtime and getting the last copy and there were tons of people rushing in to buy it, leaving complaining about it being sold out everywhere.
