You can't go wrong with something Goretex from http://www.sprayway.com/

I've found them excellent.

I used to have one and it was superb. Sadly I left it on train and lost it . Cost about £250 too! Sadly, I have been unable to find one of theirs or any other on such quality - most of the material now seems thin and not very robust. If I could find one like my other I'd get it tomorrow.

Same here, it suits my exertion levels and body heat perfectly but there is a tendency for Goretex jackets to look obviously too much like the activity they're designed for. They are getting better at implementing Goretex into 'regular' looking jackets though.

Japanese fashion houses have been doing it for years, but not at any sane persons price point. I'm a bit of a sucker for the flashy jackets anyways, my Mrs got a shock when she walked in on me testing my big yellow north face 30th anniversary mountain parka in the shower.

The Japanese stuff is really nice; White Mountaineering, VisVim, Nanamica. It's just a little on the pricey side for hillwalking and scrambling.

Like the sound of the Quorum for my purposes. Just got to find one to try on. Seems it may bit a bit warm outside of winter though, so I may need to get a lighter weight one too!

I've got one Dally. It can be too warm at times. Definitely one for proper winters unlike this one.

Could have done with one on the marshes in north Norfolk on Sunday!
