UK net immigration is around 250,000 a year. That's a city the size of Hull.

On a small island, this is unsustainable.

Most people recognise there is an immigration problem. We shy away from discussing it, for fear of being branded racist.

My son was in there again yesterday, but couldn't see the Consultant Neurologists job on the boards (nor the joinery ones either)

We shy away from it because a lot of people have no clue and rely on generalisations, like many political issues.

When I tried to actually start a serious discussion about it, on here, a year or so ago, you were one of the people who was most obvious by your absence from it. Along with every other poster on here who whinges and whines about the 'problem of immigration'.

IIRC, just two other people were interested enough to make contributions. The thread died very quickly.
