Seems the French start lineup will include new boys Todd Carney, Willie Tonga and Remi Casty along with Escare, Duport, Whitehead etc. No word on our starting lineup although normal interchange rules don't apply in friendlies. I'm just praying we don't get any major injuries

Sounds like we should be proud of the boys, safe trip home.

Went to game. We lost 32-16, but it was quite encouraging. . Catalan are a big side and we defended well and scored 3 good tries.

Wes N was impressive though he seemed to be wearing a knee brace
Slyne and Córdoba were good. Lovegrove impressed. Farrar made a couple of mistakes but made a good break to set up Hellewell try
Foran is a big guy, won't set the world on fire but is solid and big and strong. Played a lot of the young kids in last 20 mins

Problems:
Still give away too much possession
Still give away too many penalties at the play of the ball
Kicking game was poor

But all in all encouraging!

Thanks, others may have a slightly different view. Was also difficult as no programme or team sheet and I didn't recognise half the team!

One positive - no injuries I could see!

Sounds encouraging for what's effectively a new team. Seems we're getting things right on the pitch, which is the most important thing at the moment - don't forget that we're playing in a lower division this year.

As a matter of interest, do you know who was the ref? Probably not I guess as there was no programme or teamsheet. Unless you could recognise Thierry.

Was hoping we'd get that sorted now that Drinkwater has gone.

The penalties are just stupid, we give away so much ground. Kicking game, I may be being unfair, but kicking into Escare's arms isn't a clever tactic
