Looking at the press reports Whitley seems to have been in dispute with Widnes re salary for a contract extension (post 2018), so perhaps the story has legs.

I think it's highly likely this will be Westwood's last season so he could be a replacement for him.

From what I've seen of him he looks the perfect replacement. He has a brilliant engine on him.

I wonder where TS sees Livetts' position in the squad - BR or SO / centre ? If he has moved for Whitley I get the feeling it is one of those opportunistic situations. A bit like going around Tesco with your grocery list, then finding a special offer on vodka and not being able to resist it.

I think TS sees him as a prop in the longer term, but he could play BR as well of course
