Feel for the few of us, who made the effort to go to the game.

Was it as bad as it sounded on the radio Victor? We seem to start brightly then it all went down the toilet.

I must admit I feel really low after that defeat. That hurt.

Obviously Lovell's injury was a factor, one of the few bright spots is that his injury is not as bad as first feared but when he went off we did miss him. That's not to say Town wouldn't have beaten us anyway, O'Brien's 2nd half try just emphasised how weak we were defensively. In contrast Town held us up numerous times over their line and they defended with real spirit.

In terms of historic lows this is up there with our defeat to Mansfield Marksman in 1986, not in respect of the scoreline but in terms of our respective position's. Whereas Town had lost 12 consecutive games, Mansfield hadn't won for 12 months (35 games, 1 draw and 34 defeats) until we rocked up at Meadow Lane with yours truly in tow and ironically lost 18-32. That game was preceeded by thrasings by Haven (6-72) and Sheffield (14-68) but crucially in '86 the squad strenthened and got better. I just can't see that happening in 2022. We still had belief and hope in '86 but I don't have any now although admittedly feelings are a bit raw.

For any stato's out there Leyland kicked all 3 goals contrary to the Broncos own match report.

Thanks for sharing the pain in the 2nd half Victor, why do we put ourselves through it ?

Watching it on TV, we were good for the first couple of minutes. Had an overlap, and threw the ball into touch. I think we got held up over the line a couple of times, and then the tide turned.

The first bit is definitely true, the last bit, I'm not sure: disappointment has blurred my memory.

What’s noticeable is how little invective there is on this strand. We’ve basically accepted this kind of thing will happen. Not good is it. Beaten by the bottom side by 14 - nearly half the match day team ex L1. Leigh and Rovers still to play at home. Fax as well. Sure they’ll be great games.....for the away fans.

Think most of us knew we were a bottom of the table team as soon as we saw the squad. Something Hughes appears to be in denial over. So the defeats & poor performances don't surprise. As has been said many times, it's up to Hughes & Lobster to rationalise all this tripe but we've learnt not to hold our breath.

Still do not believe we will survive as a club if we get relegated.

If the club deserves to survive, it will. Personally I'd like to see them playing out of a small 1,000 capacity venue for a few years and getting back to being "The Broncos" without Hughes. Self sufficient through hard work, graft and grift and re-engaging with the audience. The club can survive on gates of 900 if it works cleverly.....but so long as Hughes does anything other than write a cheque at the start of the season, it'll suffer, so it's probably best he either give it to the fans or simply just walk away, because he's proven how utterly inept he is.......he still clings to his multi sport club Barcelona of the North idea from his days at Charlton.
A few years at the bottom of the pile will make the club stronger (and more attractive to investors) when it starts to climb up.
