The discussion was about your unnecessary comments on our players, see my explanatory post after the five try assist post, it determines players who should fall into the “bellends” “Morons” “Idiots” category. Drunk drivers, Drug abuse, Homophobic offences, etc.

Was Reynolds ran out of Oz?

I’ve asked many times about how they carry themselves on the field and if you think it’s in a good manner? I’ve got no interest in what they get up to away from it or comparing them to other players actions away from the field. You can’t set your own parameters and then say we’re sticking to them and them only. I’m simply asking the question do you think they carry themselves well on the field? The absolute focus is ‘on the field’.

I’ll throw an example of the sort of ‘on field’ incident I’m thinking of here with these guys. In your challenge cup quarter final at Huddersfield, you score a try and Reynolds charges through from back field, changes his line and purposefully charges in to the back of Theo Fages. Honestly mate, it was the most pathetic thing I’ve seen on a rugby field in years. It’s that sort of pathetic Spanish Footballer behaviour I’m referring to.

Ps I think you’re underplaying the sort of terms I’d suggest should be thrown throw at drunk drivers, homophobes and drug cheats. It wouldn’t be as pleasant as ‘bell ends, nobs or idiots’. Those terms are borderline affectionate in comparison! I

We will agree to disagree mate, it’s late and I’m old. Good luck at Spurs.

You and me both pal. I actually quite like Connor, I call him a nob/tool with some affection. I’m not sure I have any affection for Reynolds but there you go, I don’t think you guys will remember his name in a couple of years anyway.

Good luck for the rest of the season. I can’t highlight this enough-I’m not anti Hull in the slightest. I thought it was a great game today and a cracking atmosphere. The game needs characters and you’ve got some (you’ll be better once you replace Reynolds though).

Connor is a strange one. In our game a couple of weeks ago he had a run in with Welsby and was going after Roby all game. Surprisingly Roby reacted to him a couple of times too.

However after the game Connor was having a real laugh with Roby and Makinson, seemed to be good mates with Makinson. He does seem to be a pantomine villain but I often wonder what it’s like when they meet up for England when he’s spent all season winding players up.

I’ve not seen anything of yesterdays game but if he’s been trying to get a rise out of Bateman then it can’t be good when they all meet up for England (if he’s selected)

Guys like Houghton and Gale were calming it down after the hooter and fair play to them because they genuinely looked like they wanted to keep Bateman from doing something daft and lashing out. It’s a tough one without knowing other England players thoughts on Connor and if he’d affect team morale, after another season of run ins with England players. Roby won’t be in the England squad but a character like that getting frustrated with him isn’t a great sign.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

To be honest the stuff at the end was due to the late shot by a Wigan player after Reynolds had already been tackled, was over the touch line and game had ended yet a Wigan player (didn’t see who) decided to continue with a supposed tackle on Reynolds while he was still in the floor. Reynolds got up and chucked the ball at the Wigan player which then set off the coming together of the players.

It was Smithies and granted, he shouldn’t have done it, however tempting the opportunity was.

It doesn’t explain why Connor decides to follow Bateman around for the next minute or so looking for a rise from him. I genuinely hope they think they can make things work with Connor in the England squad. He’s exceptionally talented and if his head is right, him winding up a few Aussies might be no bad thing.

Really good result for us. You really turned up to play and played some good stuff, fair play to you.
Peet and Briers have improved your style of rugby no end.
Like how Cust plays, great signing.

Still think you'll beat Saints at the end of the year.

Our defence on the right edge is still poor, it looks like Thornley and Smith have no connection at all. One of them usually shooting out which causes chaos.

Some sloppy defence by Byrne around the ruck again. Allowed Hull at least 2 tries.

Connor giving up when French scored was confusing to say the least. Could've decided the game if we didn't let them back into it almost straight away.

The game shows we need to work on our defence this week. Hudd's are a smart team with go forward up the middle and the skills to quickly switch play and make space out wide. We need to be switched on across the defence.

Yesterday's game was just what we needed, no complacency going Into next week now.

We showed alot of character getting back into the game after a horror start, with a big home crowd at Hull, always a difficult place to go to.

I thought we were pretty unlucky to go behind again after 18 all , there was a definite obstruction to stop us getting to the ball.

Hull probably deserves though after the dominant first 20 but we stuck at it.
